It’s often said that necessity is the mother of invention. Conscious Clothing was born out of this mantra over 20 years ago in West Michigan, USA. Founder and Director of Design Rose Phillips – to whom I am now married – was unable to find organic children’s clothing on the market for her three little ones, and so set out to change that. 

Tired of the synthetic materials that most clothing lines were made from at the time, Rose started making clothing for her kids. Friends were quick to notice the value of the cute hemp fleece hoodie vest she’d made that still looked great after many washes and wanted vests for their own children
