I am Darius Hulea and I’m a visual artist and sculptor based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I am 35 years old.

I work in a rented industrial space full of dust and filings, where with the help of a welding machine, an angle grinder, a hammer and pliers I start to bend, beat and weld iron. When it comes to transposing this hard material into a work of art, I have always tried to hide its industrial form beneath the aesthetic and mythological aspect of the work. The whole creative process takes place in the atmosphere of the factory, where lengths of the ready-made industrialised material are welded next to one another until the final piece appears, when viewed from a distance, as a simple 3D drawing.
